/Kenya /Bateleur Camp
Bateleur Camp is located in Kichwa Tembo, a concession that borders the Maasai Mara National Reserve in southwestern Kenya. The camp, which lies at the base of the Oloololo escarpment, where the most famous scene in ‘Out of Africa’ was fi lmed, overlooks the plains and lies in the path of the annual wildlife migration. There are two intimate camps with nine spacious tents each, featuring shingle roofs, polished wooden doors and floors and private decks. Wood-framed beds and antiques furnish the interiors. A tree-shaded rim-flow lap pool offers a view across the Mara.
