/Kenya /Shompole
Situated on the side of the Nguruman Escarpment, with incredible views over the Great Rift Valley, the lodge makes the most of the cool breezes. The buildings were constructed using local white quartz stone, pale thatch and fig-wood, with water as a prime feature. The tents, with their huge windows and high canopied roof, provide a shady oasis in this arid environment. Each tent has a sitting area, plunge-pool and bathroom with a view. Little Shompole, a few minutes’ walk from the main lodge, is positioned with the utmost consideration for privacy and exclusivity. The two suites each have a private lounge area, pool and sun deck, but share a horizon pool that overlooks the Lake Natron basin. Guests at Little Shompole have access to a private game vehicle and guide, and a butler.
